October
  • Construction began on a new factory on a 429,000 m² plot of land in Sotobiwajima Town of Nagoya City

1946

August
  • Former Nagoya Kiki Seisakusho inaugurated (Iwatsuka). Administering of five plants, Iwatsuka, Omon, Ogaki, Tosaki and Daiko Taizo.

1947

December
  • Furumi Kiki Seisakusho (Chita City, Aichi Prefecture) and Tsu Kiki Seisakusho (Tsu City, Suzuka City, Aichi Prefecture) inaugurated

  • Refrigerators and ice cream freezers manufactured at Furumi Plant. Freezer compressors repaired for occupation forces at former Nagoya Kiki Seisakusho. Condensing units manufactured at Furumi Plant using compact, open freezers, and sold under the name of "Hishiko."

1948

  • Compact, open freezers manufactured at Tsu Kiki Seisakusho. Ice cream freezers manufactured for occupation forces at Iwatsuka Plant.

1949

December
  • Nagoya Seisakusho (Meisei) inaugurated. Four works, former Nagoya Kiki, Hishiwa Kiki, Furumi Kiki and Tsu Kiki merged. First Stocker (refrigerator/freezer showcase) completed.

January
  • Former Mitsubishi Heavy Industries divided into three companies. Nakanihon Jukogyo inaugurated.
July
  • Furumi Plant closed. Production of agricultural machinery transferred to Oe Plant, while production of freezers transferred to Iwatsuka Plant.

1952

March
  • First high-speed rotation, open, multi-cylinder freezer completed. Delivered to Nippon Reizo.
April
  • Tsu Plant closed.
May
  • Name changed from Nakanihon Jukogyo to Shin-Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Co., Ltd. Company emblem of three diamonds restored. Began giving freezer products names including the word "diamond").

  • Launch of half-sealed freezers.
August
  • First packaged air-conditioner, DP-5, completed (breaking into market for air-conditioners).

  • First and second continuous soft serve ice cream freezers completed and delivered to Snow Brand Milk Products Co., Ltd.

  • Stocker with showcase completed and delivered to Snow Brand Milk Products Co., Ltd.

  • First window-type room cooler completed.

  • Request from Kobe Shipyard to transfer centrifugal freezer under 230 tonnes.

  • Launch of packaged air-conditioner (air cooling type).

  • Mass production of bus air-conditioners begun (Colt engines used).
