Corporate information on Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Thermal Systems.
Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Thermal Systems, Ltd was established as a separate company within Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) Group taking over the air-conditioning and refrigeration business.
With the rising demand for the realization of a sustainable society, the providing of environmentally friendly thermal solutions is a business sector which is expected to grow globally. Air-conditioning and refrigeration technologies play a key role in this business, and Japan has attracted a lot of attention for being global leaders in this field.
Our company began as a manufacturer dedicated to air-conditioning and refrigeration technologies in order to further bolster our ability to develop technologies and respond to customers. We operate extensive businesses needed throughout society, offering equipment for low to high temperatures that are fixed or portable, and small or large. We cover the thermal engineering business for boosting energy efficiency at various plants in extensive industries, the district heating and cooling business for high-rise office buildings and shopping malls, the large air-conditioner business for factories and other large spaces, the air-conditioner business for creating diverse comfortable spaces in houses and offices, the transport refrigeration business indispensable for the cold chain, and the automotive thermal systems business for dealing with global motorization.
A strength of our company comes from the extensiveness of our business fields and the synergy created between them. With the addition of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries advanced integrated technologies, we are aiming to realize optimized thermal solutions adapted to the diverse needs of our customers.
Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Thermal Systems, Ltd. covers the extensive field of air-conditioning and refrigeration to meet a variety of needs by providing heat pumps and air-conditioners for large spaces that allow efficient use of energy, centrifugal chillers that prop up stable operations at factories, household and industrial air-conditioners, and transport refrigeration units indispensable for the cold chain.
We will contribute to reduced running costs and CO2 emissions by providing optimized systems based on industrial-use ECO-CUTE and air-cooled heat pump chillers that rely on heat pump technology (that makes effective use of heat transferred from air or water), as well as heat recovery type heat pumps.
We have an extensive lineup of products, including the filter auto elevation system, “LA・Cleaner” panel, “Air-FLEX” for creating a comfortable flow of air that is not blown directly onto the body, and the VRF with outstanding energy-efficiency. They are being used in a variety of scenes throughout society, such as at home, the office and stores, as well as in buildings and factories.
Centrifugal chillers are used for air-conditioning of commercial facilities (i.e. office buildings, hotels, shopping malls, data centers and district cooling and heating systems), process line and air-conditioning of industrial factories (i.e. semiconductor, automotive supplies, textile, food and beverage etc...)
Mitsubishi Heavy Industries centrifugal chillers can achieve the significant energy saving and CO2 emission reduction along with preventing ozone layer depletion and global warming.
Low-temperature transportation in logistics is growing in importance with the global rise in food safety awareness and increase in demand for refrigerated and frozen foods. We have a lineup of truck refrigeration units to suit different forms of transport, which have won high trust as products for professional use.
With the spread of global motorization, there is expected to be a rapid rise in demand especially for EVs. We contribute to the safety and comfort of the motorized society by quickly providing customers with compact, lightweight and energy saving automobile components, and thermal management systems that make full use of heat pump technology.
